Latchkey Program

Royerton Elementary offers a latchkey program throughout the year. This program assists children before school, after school, and throughout the summer.

Information for the 2023-2024 school year is posted on the link at left.

Fees: Fees are determined individually based on attendance.  A fee schedule for the program is included with the application and various forms necessary to get started.  Those forms are available by clicking on the link at left.  Children are only charged for days attended!

The Royerton Latchkey Program is specifically designed for students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade with an emphasis on tutoring, enrichment, and recreational activities.  Bearing in mind the developmental needs and varying interests within this age group, the program offers a wide variety of activities that enhance the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of children while also offering opportunity for independent decision-making by offering free choice within the structured environment of latchkey.

Royerton Latchkey is staffed by Delaware Community Schools employees.  The program provides a snack each day and maintains a safe, nurturing environment both before and after school.  Our child to staff ratio is no more than 15:1 with an energetic and caring staff to surround your child with fun activities designed to help them flourish.
